Somebody said that creating another video editor was like pulling a dead horse. But why do we constantly hear complaints as below...

on old or low-end computers

  • Nothing is worse than using a full of features software that is super slow.
  • 2.5 hour to render a 12 min GoPro video in 4K on Windows 10 - Too long!
  • I wish it can work smoothly with simple specifications computer.

for beginners and non-professionals

  • Editing video should not require a degree.
  • I don't want to invest a lot of time in learning, and I don't want to invest a lot of time in editing.
  • xxx can do everything I need, but it is terribly difficult to learn and too sophisticated for a hobby user.

Not Smart

to create fashionable effects

  • I need more AI-assisted video editing. Reducing the amount of manual labor required.
  • I don't need a lot of fancy features, but the ability to automatically correct issues (color, lighting, etc.) would be great.
  • Almost all features exist but what should be done is try to make their use more simple and fun....

Poor Compatibility

with 4K/8K videos or latest codecs

  • It can be very tricky to combine different codecs in real time without transcoding.
  • There could be support for older codecs (old Macintosh Quicktime etc.)
  • I really want easy Codec and Bitrate selection for best visual fidelity.

That's why we are motivated to make it.

  • Free, Safe,
