How to Update Your Old Graphics Driver

If you receive a 'Graphics Driver Outdated' error message or see 'Your graphics driver is not functioning properly' prompt in VideoProc Vlogger, it means that your graphics drive is old and hasn't updated for a long time. But no worries. We will help you update your graphic driver and fix the issue easily.

  • If you update your graphics driver, your computer can perform quickly and smoothly in video/image editing and any other graphics-intensive tasks.
  • If you don't update your graphics driver, you can continue using VideoProc Vlogger. But your computer may fail to use hardware-accelerated encoding and/or decoding. Even worse, it has a great chance to not function properly in any graphics-intensive tasks, run other non-linear editing systems and will even crash, stutter and lag frequently.

Download and Install the Latest Graphics Driver

Now that you've already known the model of the graphics driver you are using, you can visit the manufacturer's website to download the latest model. You can click on the links of the corresponding manufacturers.

1. For Generic Driver:

- Intel: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html

- Nvidia: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/drivers/

- AMD: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/gpu-driver-autodetect

Note:

1. If you are a Mac user, things will be much easier, because graphics driver update will be included in every system update. All you have to do is to make sure you are using the latest macOS.

2. The GPU that supports OpenGL 3.3 and later is required. OpenGL 3.3 and later will be compatible and work perfectly.

2. For Third-party Modified Driver:

Some PC manufacturer uses modified graphic cards from some third-party OEM. You should go to such manufacturer' own site to download the driver.

3. Intel OpenCL Runtime:
